Resolved

Have you ever made a New Year’s Resolution that you kept?

Resolutions are a strange one to me. Yes, I see it is great to start the year with a focus and renewed vigour to achieve the goals that you would set. However I see that this shouldn’t be a once a year process.

Heading through life is an iterative process and to survive we need to be resilient, adaptable and tenacious. We are not the same person at the end of the year that we are are at the start, and to this end the change must happen during that year. But at what point? Are we the same during a month? A Week? A Day?

Reaching the conclusion that change can come at any point gives us the focus that we should have a mindful outlook to give us the chance to adapt to our surroundings. Yes, we need to plan, but we need to revisit those plans, check we are on track, and ensure we are on the right heading.

Resolution for ’22

All of that said and now that we are heading into the new year (and as you can probably tell as you are here reading this) one of my New Year’s Resolution is to get back on track with the writing prompts.

To finish ’22 with a improved, natural, more fluid writing style for me would be an accomplishment.

Let’s see where this goes and how well this one will stick when we finish the holiday period. after getting back into the normal throws of life with schools runs, client requests, and the normal hustle and bustle of just getting the weekly shop!.

Happy new year and do let me know how you get on with your resolution for ’22 in the comments below.
